Discover more about Webflow Ecommerce.<\/p>\n<blockquote id=\"\"><p><strong id=\"\">Crucial:<\/strong> If you aim to sell membership-based products, you must first activate Ecommerce and User Accounts on your site, acquire an Ecommerce Site plan, connect your Stripe account, and allow checkout. Once you&#8217;ve enabled User Accounts, remember that <strong id=\"\">deactivation or removal is not possible<\/strong>. You cannot delete User pages or Collections after activating User Accounts. Additionally, you cannot reuse the reserved URL slugs (e.g., \/log-in, \/sign-up, etc.) employed for User pages. Select your <strong id=\"\">Billing method<\/strong> as \u201cmembership,\u201d and define your <strong id=\"\">Billing period<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/h6>\n<h3 id=\"\">Incorporating a \u201cstart subscription\u201d button to your site<\/h3>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Reminder: <\/strong>If you&#8217;ve designated the Billing method as \u201cmembership\u201d for any of your products, upon site publishing Webflow automatically conceals the \u201cAdd to cart\u201d and \u201cPurchase now\u201d buttons in the <strong id=\"\">Add to cart <\/strong>element for those membership products.<\/h6>\n<p id=\"\">You can integrate an <strong id=\"\">Add to cart<\/strong> element to Collection lists linked to your \u201cproducts\u201d Collection. This allows shoppers to swiftly buy memberships from any of your product collection lists on your homepage and other pages.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">You can also position an <strong id=\"\">Add to cart element<\/strong> on your products template page. Find out more about the Add to cart element.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Upon publishing your site, if you&#8217;ve set the Billing method as \u201cmembership\u201d for any of your products, Webflow automatically swaps the default button text (e.g., \u201cPurchase now\u201d) with subscription text (e.g., \u201cStart subscription now\u201d) for those membership products. Non-membership products retain the default \u201cPurchase now\u201d text.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">To tailor the default subscription text:<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Choose the \u201cPurchase now\u201d button on the Webflow canvas<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Unlock <strong id=\"\">Element settings panel<\/strong> &gt; <strong id=\"\">Purchase now button settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Opt for \u201c<strong id=\"\">Subscription text<\/strong>\u201d and tap the \u201c<strong id=\"\">pencil<\/strong>\u201d icon<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Amend the text and <strong id=\"\">Save<\/strong> your adjustments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure id=\"\" class=\"w-richtext-figure-type-image w-richtext-align-fullwidth\" data-rt-type=\"image\" data-rt-align=\"fullwidth\" data-rt-max-width=\"1501px\">\n<div id=\"\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"The default \u201cbuy now\u201d button is shown, alongside the Element settings panel. It can be utilized to display to your users the active memberships linked to their account, the purchase date, and the forthcoming billing date. Users can also terminate active memberships and receive a record of that alteration in their account.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">In case a user cancels a membership, the cancellation takes immediate effect, and any content controlled via an access group remains inaccessible till the end of their last billing date. For example, a user might subscribe to content on June 1 with a monthly billing period, effectively granting<\/p>\n<p>Grant the member access from June 1 through June 30. If the individual opts to terminate their membership on June 3, their access will be promptly revoked, and they <em id=\"\">will not<\/em> be able to view their content for the remainder of June.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">To insert the Element of Subscriptions into the User account page (if it\u2019s not already present on the page):<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Navigate to the <strong id=\"\">Page panel<\/strong> &gt; <strong id=\"\">User pages<\/strong> and launch the User account page<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Access the <strong id=\"\">Add panel<\/strong> &gt; <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Drag the <strong id=\"\">Subscriptions<\/strong> Element onto the User account page<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"\">Customize the Subscriptions Element and its related elements as desired, then publish your website.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Although it is possible to remove the Subscriptions Element from the User account page, we suggest retaining it to facilitate user access to view or terminate their memberships, and we advise offering visitors a clear path to reach the user account page (e.g., via a button or a hyperlink).<\/p>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Important: <\/strong>You must be in Designer mode with the User account page open to interact with the Subscriptions Element. Only 1 Subscriptions Element can be placed on the User account page.<\/h6>\n<h2 id=\"\">Grasping the flow of user subscription purchases<\/h2>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Important: <\/strong>Clients can only purchase a single subscription of each type available. (The \u201cJoin now\u201d button will be inactive if they have already subscribed to that service and it is actively billed in their account.)<\/h6>\n<p id=\"\">When a visitor intends to buy a subscription from you, they will need to undergo several steps after clicking the \u201cSubscribe now\u201d button:<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">The checkout process varies based on whether:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">The user is logged into your website<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">The user has an account but is not logged in to your site<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">The user has not yet registered for an account on your website<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"\">The user is logged into your site<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">Upon selecting the \u201cSubscribe now\u201d button, if the user is logged into your site, they will proceed to the checkout process to finalize their purchase.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"\">The user has an account but is not logged in to your site<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">Upon selecting the \u201cSubscribe now\u201d button, if the user possesses an account but is not logged in, they will be directed to the registration page. Here, they can opt to sign in to their account.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Post logging in, they will be redirected to the page exhibiting the subscription they intended to buy.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">They will need to click \u201cSubscribe now\u201d again to acquire the subscription, subsequently entering the checkout process to complete the transaction.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"\">The user has not yet registered for an account on your site<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">Upon selecting the \u201cSubscribe now\u201d button, if the user does not have an existing account on your site, they will be forwarded to the registration page.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Before proceeding with their subscription purchase, they must create an account. To register, they need to:<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Input their details into all mandatory fields on the registration page<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Select \u201cSign up\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"\">Post registering an account on your website, they will be prompted to validate their account via the verification email sent automatically. Get more insights on customizing User Accounts emails.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Upon successfully confirming their email by activating their account, they will receive notification that their account has been successfully created, and they will be automatically logged in.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">Subsequent to their auto-login, they will be directed back to the page advertising the subscription they wanted to purchase. They will need to click \u201cSubscribe now\u201d again to finalize the purchase, proceeding to the checkout process to finish the transaction.<\/p>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Worth noting: <\/strong>Customers cannot buy a subscription along with other items. A subscription purchase must be a standalone transaction.<\/h6>\n<h2 id=\"\">Customizing subscription-related emails<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">To modify the email dispatched to your clients regarding subscriptions:<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Tap on the <strong id=\"\">Settings<\/strong> \u201ccog\u201d icon in the left panel<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Opt for <strong id=\"\">Email<\/strong> within the <strong id=\"\">Settings<\/strong> section<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Scroll down to <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce emails <\/strong>&gt; <strong id=\"\">Subscription<\/strong> in the <strong id=\"\">Email<\/strong> section<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Click on <strong id=\"\">Payment failed<\/strong>, <strong id=\"\">Payment successful<\/strong>, or <strong id=\"\">Subscription canceled<\/strong> and make the necessary modifications<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"\">Additionally, you can adjust the titles and other textual components in <strong id=\"\">Subscription<\/strong> email templates enabling customization of the content users will receive. Depending on the email template being edited, dynamic fields such as the following can be utilized to populate the email subject and other variables:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Client name<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Shop name<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Subscription title<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Subscription cost<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Purchased on<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Subscription canceled on<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Current billing date<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Next billing date<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Credit card failed date<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 id=\"\">\u200d<strong id=\"\">Note:<\/strong> The <strong id=\"\">Payment successful<\/strong> email will be transmitted to the user independently from the <strong id=\"\">Order Confirmation<\/strong> email (located under <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce emails<\/strong> &gt; <strong id=\"\">Order<\/strong>), and will be dispatched only after the subscription has been renewed and the payment is successfully processed.<\/h6>\n<h2 id=\"\">Supervising subscriptions<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">Monitoring and overseeing subscriptions and their corresponding orders can be done within the Designer.<\/p>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Note:<\/strong> Subscriptions cannot be managed or viewed within the Editor. Nonetheless, they can be observed in edit mode.<\/h6>\n<p id=\"\">With each successful subscription purchase, an \u201corder received\u201d email is sent to the shop supervisor(s). Orders can be viewed in the <strong id=\"\">Orders<\/strong> tab of the Designer and Editor. Here, shop supervisors can gain insights into the total number of received orders, overall revenue from sales, average order value, and average order size. Explore further about Webflow\u2019s Orders tab.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">While operating in the Designer, navigate to the <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce panel<\/strong> &gt; <strong id=\"\">Subscriptions<\/strong> to peruse a list of acquired subscriptions. This display provides an overview of each subscription&#8217;s details, covering:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Order number<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Status<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Customer<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Purchased on<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Last billing<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Next billing<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Total<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"\">Users can sort their view by subscription status, including:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Active<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Past due<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Unpaid<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Canceled<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"\">For further refinement of the subscription roster, filtering by order number is available.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"\">Terminating a subscription<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">There might be instances where you need to cancel subscriptions due to user requests, deletion of an access group, or transitioning an access group from paid to free. Subscriptions can be canceled individually or in bulk.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">To annul an individual subscription: <\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Access the <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce<\/strong> panel &gt; <strong id=\"\">Subscriptions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Select the subscription you wish to cancel<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Click on \u201cCancel subscription\u201d and confirm your decision\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p id=\"\">For bulk subscription cancellations:<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Navigate to the <strong id=\"\">Ecommerce<\/strong> panel &gt; <strong id=\"\">Subscriptions<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Select <strong id=\"\">Select<\/strong> and tick the checkbox adjacent to each subscription you wish to cancel, or mark the checkbox next to <strong id=\"\">Order Number<\/strong> to choose all subscriptions<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Click on \u201cCancel subscriptions\u201d and confirm your choice<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Note:<\/strong> Cancelling a subscription does not automatically trigger a refund for the user. A refund must be manually processed. Find out more about refunding clients.<\/h6>\n<p id=\"\">Users also possess the capability to end their memberships if a Subscriptions Element has been integrated into the User account page.<\/p>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Worth knowing: <\/strong>If a subscription-based item is deleted from your products Collection, it will not automatically nullify a user\u2019s active billed subscription linked to that product. Ongoing subscriptions persist even after the item has been removed and the website is republished. This feature enables honoring existing subscriptions while discontinuing new sign-ups. Explicitly canceling subscriptions is necessary to remove active subscriptions.
