To reach the links manager, open the Group settings, scroll to the bottom, and select the button labeled &#8220;view connections&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p id=\"\">In this area, you can:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Review all instances where a Group and its Attributes are linked on your pages<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Disconnect any instance with a single selection<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Navigate to the page in the Designer where the connection is established<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Directly access the element in the Designer linked to a Group Attribute<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"\">When you remove a connection from an element, the element reverts to the default content associated with it. For instance, a paragraph will display the default placeholder text for a paragraph element.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"\">How to adjust specific Group elements<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">A Group functions as a dynamic database \u2014 constantly expanding as you include additional elements to the Group. You can filter, arrange, or search through your content to identify areas for adjustment.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"\">Filter, sort, or search<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">With a Group opened, select the pin icon in the top right corner of the list to reveal or conceal elements in the Group. Once you\u2019ve chosen your items, you can execute a variety of bulk actions based on your selection and the items\u2019 present status (e.g., you may not be able to perform all actions available if your items contain mixed statuses). The primary bulk actions are:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Export:<\/strong> exports Collection items as a CSV (learn more regarding how to selectively export Collection items)<\/li>\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Delete:<\/strong> permanently eliminates the Collection items from the Designer, but retains the items on the live site until the subsequent site publish, at which point they will be deleted from the live site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"\">Hit the \u201cUpdate items\u201d button to choose from the subsequent actions in the dropdown menu:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Stage for publish:<\/strong> sets current draft items as staged for publish at the next site publish<\/li>\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Publish: <\/strong>immediately publishes items to your live site<\/li>\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Save as draft:<\/strong> sets Collection items to a draft if they are not yet ready to be published, and will unpublish a live item from the site at the next site publish<\/li>\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Unpublish: <\/strong>immediately removes items from your live site and changes their status to \u201cDraft\u201d, (or maintains the draft status if the item was already a draft that was still published to the live site) \u2014 unpublishing also removes the original published date<strong id=\"\">\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Archive:<\/strong> pulls Collection items from the site at the next site publish, but keeps them accessible from the CMS in the Designer or the Editor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Pro tip: <\/strong>When in bulk editing mode, you can <strong id=\"\">SHIFT<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">click<\/strong> to select a range of items. This feature functions even if your Collection contains more than 100 items and displays them in a paginated view. Navigate through the additional pages, and continue to <strong id=\"\">SHIFT<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">click<\/strong> to consistently select the additional items you\u2019d like to edit.<\/h6>\n<blockquote id=\"\"><p><strong id=\"\">Crucial: <\/strong>Unpublishing is blocked if your site\u2019s domains have different publish dates, or if your site was restored from a backup. Learn more about importing Collection items.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h6 id=\"\"><strong id=\"\">Note:<\/strong> Items are matched based on the \u201cItem ID\u201d field, which is included in a CSV export from a Collection.<\/h6>\n<h2 id=\"\">How to erase Collections<\/h2>\n<p id=\"\">You can eliminate a Collection when you no longer require it. It also cannot be undone, apart from restoring a backup. Prior to eliminating connections and deleting a Collection, you can manually save a backup of your site using<strong id=\"\"> Command<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">Shift<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">S<\/strong> (on Mac) or <strong id=\"\">Control<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">Shift<\/strong> + <strong id=\"\">S<\/strong> (on Windows).\u00a0<\/h6>\n<p id=\"\">To remove an entire collection, you\u2019ll have to accomplish 3 steps. Let\u2019s go through each one:<\/p>\n<ul id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Step 1 \u2014 Delete all Collection items from the Collection<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Step 2 \u2014 Eliminate all connections to the Collection and its Fields<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Step 3 \u2014 Erase the Collection from the Collection settings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"\">Step 1 \u2014 Delete all Collection items from the Collection<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">You\u2019ll need to initially delete all Collection items from the Collection:\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol id=\"\">\n<li id=\"\">Open your <strong id=\"\">Collection<\/strong><\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Utilize the <strong id=\"\">mass edit<\/strong> feature to choose all your Selection items<\/li>\n<li id=\"\">Click on \u201c<strong id=\"\">Erase<\/strong>\u201d and wait while your site saves<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3 id=\"\">Step 2 \u2014 Eliminating all links to the Selection and its Elements<\/h3>\n<p id=\"\">Once you have erased all Selection items from the Selection, you&#8217;ll have to disconnect the links to the Selection and its Elements (e.g., you&#8217;ll be separating children elements from their parent element &#8211; the Selection). This action is irreversible unless you have a backup.
