Administer Globalization extension packages

Learn how to upgrade your site with a Localization add-on plan.

Extension packages are discretionary enhancements to Site subscriptions, which broaden the functionalities of your site. Globalization extension packages enable you to publish your site in an additional region and incorporate extra regions to your site.

Steps to acquire a Globalization extension package

Reminder: You must already possess a Basic, CMS, Business, or Enterprise Site plan in order to acquire a Globalization extension package. Globalization extension packages are not offered with Ecommerce Site plans.

To obtain a Globalization extension package:

  1. Visit Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Press Manage
  3. Select the specific Globalization extension package you desire (e.g., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Utilize the Regions dropdown to specify the total number of regions you require on your site
  5. Hit Pay now to promptly charge the card on record
Reminder: Billing cycles for Globalization extension packages align with the billing cycle of your Site plan. For instance, if your Site plan is billed monthly, your Globalization extension package will also be charged monthly.

Methods to include regions in a Globalization extension package

Globalization extension packages are priced per region. The quantity of regions you can add is contingent on your Globalization extension package (e.g., Essential or Advanced), therefore, you may need to upgrade your Globalization extension package before adding more regions.

To integrate additional regions to a Globalization extension package:

  1. Access Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Click Manage
  3. Press Manage regions within your current Globalization extension package
  4. Utilize the Regions dropdown to specify the total number of regions you need on your site
  5. Hit Pay now to immediately charge the card on record

Approaches to eliminate regions from a Globalization extension package

Globalization extension packages are priced per region. If you wish to reduce the number of regions on your site and exclude those regions from your add-on plan, you may need to downgrade your Globalization extension package after removing regions.

Important: Secondary regions must be eliminated from your site in the Designer prior to removing them from the Globalization extension package. To delete secondary regions from your site, head to Settings panel > Localization, click on the region(s) you wish to delete, and hit the “trash” icon.

To remove regions from a Globalization extension package:

  1. Visit Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Press Manage
  3. Press Manage regions within your current Globalization extension package (e.g., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Utilize the Regions dropdown to specify the total number of regions you need on your site
  5. Hit Pay now to immediately charge the card on record

Process to enhance a Globalization extension package

To escalate a Globalization extension package from Essential to Advanced:

  1. Access Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Press Manage
  3. Press Upgrade to Advanced within the Advanced package
  4. (Optional) Utilize the Regions dropdown to include more regions on your site
  5. Hit Pay now to immediately charge the card on record

Process to reduce a Globalization extension package

To decrease a Globalization extension package from Advanced to Essential:

  1. Visit Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Press Manage
  3. Press Downgrade to Essential within the Essential package
  4. (Optional) Utilize the Regions dropdown to remove regions from your site
  5. Hit Pay now to immediately charge the card on record

Process to terminate a Globalization extension package

You can annul a Globalization extension package by decreasing the number of regions to zero.

Important: Secondary regions must be eliminated from your site in the Designer prior to eliminating them from the Globalization extension package. To delete secondary regions from your site, head to Settings panel > Localization, click on the region(s) you wish to delete, and hit the “trash” icon.

To cancel a Globalization extension package:

  1. Visit Site settings > Plans tab > Add-ons tab
  2. Press Manage
  3. Press Manage regions within your current Globalization extension package (e.g., Essential or Advanced)
  4. Select 0 from the Regions dropdown
  5. Hit Confirm to promptly cancel your Globalization extension package
