What signifies an index position?
The index position regulates the arrangement of an element.
- Elements with a greater index position place on top of those with a lower position
- Offspring elements can solely place according to their progenitor element. (i.e., If element A possesses a higher index position than element B, the offspring of element B will never overlap element A)
- Index position solely functions on relative, absolute, and fixed placement
- The standard index position is 0
Employ an index position to arrange elements
- Single out a div block you wish to arrange
- Employ an index position (since the default index position is 0, any value greater than 0 will arrange an element on top)
- Elevated values will arrange on top of lower values
- Detrimental values can lead to elements disappearing
