Replicate a Website

Learn how to create a duplicate copy of your site.

If you intend to replicate a Webflow site to act as a reusable blueprint for upcoming sites or a sandbox for testing and exploration.

You have the ability to replicate a website from your Control Panel or Website configurations.

Something worth noting: Upon replicating a website, the website, designs, pages, resources, CMS Collections and pieces, E-commerce products and categories, additional regions, personalized code, unique fonts, site icon, and web clip are all duplicated to the new replicated site. You can modify the subdomain and title of the replicated site post its creation. You can select whether to transfer hosting, SEO, and integration configurations to the replicated site.

Significant: Upon replicating a website, all site-wide setups such as form notification configurations, form entries, form settings, reCAPTCHA keys, backup editions, site participants, content managers, Logic identifications (i.e., API keys), and payments will be reset to default.

Keep in mind: Upon replicating a website with additional regions, regions are automatically deactivated on the replicated version. To reestablish the management and publication of additional regions, you’ll need to buy a Website strategy and Localization add-on strategy for the replicated site.

To replicate a website from your Control Panel:

  1. Proceed to your Control Panel
  2. Press the “3 disclosure dots” beneath your website’s thumbnail
  3. Select Replicate from the menu
  4. Select the configurations you wish to replicate to the new site (i.e., hosting configurations, SEO configurations, and/or integration configurations)
  5. Press Replicate site

To replicate a website from Website configurations:

  1. Visit Website configurations
  2. Tap the “replicate” symbol in the top bar
  3. Select the configurations you wish to duplicate on the new site (i.e., hosting configurations, SEO configurations, and/or integration configurations)
  4. Press Replicate site
Keep in mind: If you intend to duplicate a site that employs a high-quality design, you’ll need to purchase the design again for the replicated site. Explore more about designs.
